Abstrakt

The author explains the conception of electronical data basis on students of the Jagiellonian University, who were studying in this University in Cracow between years 1850/51 and 1917/18. He describes the selected historical conditions and rules of well-done computer data basis in the Jagiellonian University Archives. Source-based information on students exists in this Archives in the paper form (archival documents, e. g. registers). The actual aim of the Archive is the creation information in the electronical form, which can be find by users on-line on world wide web.
