Abstrakt

The article describes research journals in the field of tourism, published in Poland in 1990-2007. The terms such as “tourism”, “tourist journal” and “tourist press” has been analysed. Tourist journals typology has been presented, and the author’s typology has been proposed. The analysis of tourist journals included either editorial or content features, like: the volume of publishing, editors, geographical dispersion, frequency, topics. The article is accompanied by: (a) the list of institutions and titles of tourist research journals they publish, (b) bibliographic descriptions of tourist research journals being discussed.
