Abstrakt

The article describes the role of metadata in electronic documents' archivisation. Types of information to be included in e-documents' metadata are characterized, as well as functions and types of medatada. Present metadata standards (Dublin Core, AGLS, E-GMS) are presented, with particular attention put on the Model Requirements for the Management of Electronic Records (Moreq).
